SELECT Modernization — Desjardins Financial Security

April 2014 – August 2017

Software architecturetechnical analysis

Architecture mandate on the SELECT program at Desjardins Financial Security: replacing complementary health-benefit adjudication systems (physio, massage, psychology, and others) with a real-time solution, on the same model as dental and pharmacy claims.

I designed the conversion API for file exchanges with the intermediary service provider, load-test benches and data generators, a Selenium robot to load Fineos, NuGet/TFS versioning for shared infrastructure components, and parallel processing (TPL) of very large XML files.

Impact

  • Bidirectional conversion API between Desjardins and intermediary files
  • Load-test benches and high-volume realistic data generation
  • Selenium automation to load Fineos without a native API
  • NuGet versioning scheme and TFS build scripts
  • TPL parallel processing of XML files too large to fit in memory
