MED-HMI Exchanges — City of Quebec

September 2004 – November 2004

Verificationmodificationcorrectiontesting

To meet wastewater-discharge environmental rules, Quebec City rebuilt its combined sewer networks. BPR-CSO delivered MED, a real-time control system that uses Environment Canada forecasts and hydrologic state to issue setpoints to control works.

I took over exchanges between MED and the HMI of the controlled networks, so MED received data matching in-service site configurations and returned the right setpoints.

Impact

  • Continuity of MED ↔ HMI exchanges after handover
  • Setpoints aligned with actual in-service site configuration
